HELP !! Does the navy rate of persnonnel specialist (PS) get to go out to sea ?

my contract is for 4 years - I was originally signed up to leave as a hospital corpsman (HM) but I requested to switch my job because I found out it (HM) was mostly a land Job. So I was switched to Personnel specialist and I was told that they go out sea and are on land as well , but now I'm hearing that the PS is going to be given to civilians and that Its becoming sort of obsolete. I'm leaving to Great lakes next week on the July 7th. Basically I want to know If I'm signed up to a job that's on land because , 1. The whole reason I switched from HM was to increase my chances of getting on a ship , 2. 90 % of the reason I joined the navy was to SEE THE WHORLD AND SAIL , I mean what good is being a sailor if I dont sail . 3. My biggest fear is being on land for my whole 4 years !! I REALLY REALLY REALLY Want to be on a ship !!
