I just sold my car that was still financed under my name what do I do now?

I sold it to someone that agreed on a contract with me to pay off the vehicle! He said he would put the insurance on the vehicle under his name do I have to notify the DMV or the finance company? What do I have to do? This the first time do this! So I want to know what to do before I do something wrong
