Would you feel stupid in this situation?

My sister & her family decided to get a home security system after their house was broken in to. I considered it for my home too even though it's a nice neighborhood etc. We got adt & pay $50/month. I didn't know about General Security which my sister later found out about & got it for much less. She's so annoying because she talks about her savings constantly. I feel foolish but can't really get out of the contract. How would you treat this situation? Thanks
